Kaitlyn La Fleur

Geologist

Kaitlyn La Fleur joined the Beryl Oil & Gas team in October, 2024 as a Geologist. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. She began her professional career in the oil and gas industry as a mudlogger, working under contract with Pioneer Natural Resources. Her expertise allowed her to transition to Baker Hughes as a Logging While Drilling (LWD) Specialist, where she collaborated with Occidental Petroleum. These diverse experiences equipped her with extensive hands-on knowledge of drilling operations.


To further develop her skill set, she later joined NuTech Energy Alliance, a consulting firm that specializes in reservoir evaluation and optimization. During her time there, she enhanced her skills in data analysis and project management, assisting clients in improving their energy production strategies.


In addition to her professional endeavors, Kaitlyn is actively engaged in the industry community. She currently serves as the Secretary for both the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA) and the Permian Basin Section of the Society of Economic Paleontologists and Mineralogists (PBS-SEPM). Her efforts are focused on promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing among geoscience professionals to advance the field and support the development of innovative practices.
